Gary Gershony, MD

Founding General Partner

Dr. Gershony founded, served on the Board of Directors, and served as Chief Medical Officer for Vascular Solutions and AngioScore, which were acquired for a combined value of $1.3B. He is an experienced healthcare venture and angel investor and Board Member for multiple early-stage medical device companies. Dr. Gershony holds 11 patents, has been an internationally recognized interventional cardiologist for over 20 years, and has served as Principal Investigator for more than 50 clinical trials with over 100 peer reviewed medical publications.

Neil Meyer

Founding General Partner

Neil has focused on the healthcare sector for over 20 years as an experienced investor at top investment firms, including Partner Fund Management, Citadel, and JPMorgan. Additionally, Neil has operating experience in the medical device industry, where he led investor relations and strategic finance functions for Thoratec Corporation prior to its acquisition by St. Jude Medical for $3.4B. He has served as a Board Member for early stage medical device companies and as a consultant for numerous healthcare companies on a wide array of financial and strategic issues.

Gregg W. Stone, MD

Advisor and clinical key opinion leader

Dr. Stone is a globally recognized thought leader in the development of new medical device technologies. He is the Director of the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) symposium and Professor of Medicine and Director of Academic Affairs for the Mount Sinai Heart Health System. Dr. Stone has been a Principal Investigator for more than 120 randomized clinical trials and is listed in Nature Medicine as one of the most prolific authors in science.

Martin T. Rothman, MD

Advisor and industry key opinion leader

Dr. Rothman is the former Chief Medical Officer for the cardiovascular segment at Medtronic. He co-founded the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS), is a Professor of Interventional Cardiology at Barts Health in London, and is a named inventor on more than 140 patents. Dr. Rothman is an experienced venture partner and has founded and served on the Board of Directors for numerous early-stage medical device companies.

Leslie Saxon, MD

Advisor and digital health key opinion leader

Dr. Saxon is the Executive Director of the USC Center for Body Computing (CBC), a world-renowned cardiac electrophysiologist, a Professor of Medicine, and author of more than 200 peer-reviewed research publications. She is a recognized expert in digital health and has been an invited speaker to numerous forums including CES, TEDMED, and SXSW on topics such as digital heath cybersecurity, wireless diagnostics, implantable computing devices, and human performance wearables as part of her focus to transition from traditional “sickcare” to “healthcare”. Dr. Saxon’s many prestigious awards include the 2019 California Science Center Women of the Year and inclusion in the Rock Health Top 50 for digital health innovation.

Amanda White

Senior Associate

Amanda has more than ten years of medical device industry experience, including seven years at Edwards Lifesciences developing and commercializing Transcatheter Delivery Systems. She was a Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellow from 2018-2019. Starting in 2019, Amanda was also an investment fellow with the Life Science Angels where her work contributed to several syndicated investments including Valfix, Avisi Technologies, POPS! Diabetes, and Juicebox It. She is currently the Senior Manager of Clinical Engineering at NC8, a medical aesthetics startup spun out of the ExploraMed incubator. Amanda holds a BSE in biomedical engineering and a BS in economics from Duke University.
